interest claim of the Hong Kong Excavation and Pil●

Driving Company, Limited, amounting on the 30th September,

1929, to $13,588.03, and any further interest, which such

company is to fobago and withdraw.

2. Handing over, on completion of the settlement, free of

cost, of any building materials held by the Company and

intended for completion of any incomplete nouses commen-

cod by the Company. Handing over to be only to the respec

tive owners of the houses affected who subscribe their

respective proportions to the fund. Each/subscriber to

the fund only to receive his due proportion of the

materials.

3. An indemnity by Captain Ede, or other approved person,

to the representatives of the subscribers to the fund

against further claims.

4. Such releases and indemnities as may reasonably ba

required by and/or from,-

(a) the Government;

(b) the subscribers to the fund; and

(c) the Company.

5. The Government, the Company and the subscribers to the

fund respectively to bear and pay its and their own costs

and expenses, whether already incurred or to be incurred,

in respect of and incidental to the Kowloon Tong Scheme,

and the settlement.

6. Should completion of the settlement fail then all

conversations, correspondance, negotiations and offers in

respect of or with a view to such settlement shall be and

shall be deemed to have been made without prejudice.
